Martín Weber

Argentinean-Chilean, (b.1968 in Chile). He studied at the University of Buenos Aires, and the International Center of Photography in New York. Weber is a Guggenheim Fellow (1998) and received a Prince Claus grant (2004); the Silver Eye Award (2008); No Strings Foundation (2005); Hasselblad Grants (1999 /2001); First Prize Klemm Foundation (1999), Fondo Nacional de las Artes (1996) and a scholarship from International Center of Photography in New York (1992); artist in residence at IASPIS, Sweden (1998), Light Work (2002) and CPW (2004), NY.

His work has been widely exhibited: Museum of Contemporary Art, Santiago de Chile. Echoes from the Interior/ Argentina, has been published by Ediciones Lariviere in 2011 and nominated for the Book Prize at Paris Photo among the 100 best books published between 1997 to 2011.
